How to use case conversion

Use this tool to quickly standardize the writing style of ordinary English text, such as email subjects and document titles. Line breaks, numbers, and symbols stay unchanged.

Convert letter case in text

Conversion uses the browser's Unicode case mappings, including cased letters beyond English: café becomes CAFÉ, while Korean stays unchanged. Some mappings change length, such as ß becoming SS.

Sentence mode is a mechanical rule

Title mode capitalizes each word's first letter. Sentence mode starts again after a period, question mark, exclamation mark, or line break. The first letter encountered consumes that start even if it has no uppercase form, so English after a Korean opening stays lowercase. Review abbreviations and proper names.

Frequently asked questions

Does it convert Korean text too?

Korean has no uppercase or lowercase distinction, so it remains unchanged. Only letter case is converted.

What is the difference between title case and sentence case?

Title case capitalizes each word's first letter; sentence case capitalizes the first letter of each sentence or line. If that first letter is Korean, it stays unchanged and following English letters stay lowercase. Neither mode checks grammar or proper names.

Will line breaks and whitespace change?

No. Line breaks, whitespace, numbers, and symbols are preserved while letter case is converted.

Is my text stored on a server?

No. The conversion runs in your browser and does not store your input or result on a server or database.
