These Terms of Service set out the conditions for using the website, web tools, and related features provided by Utilook.
Article 1. Purpose
These Terms aim to set out the conditions for using the web tools, information, content, and related features provided by Utilook, as well as the rights and obligations of the operator and users.
Article 2. Definitions
- “Service” means the Utilook website and the web tools, search, sharing, inquiry, and related features provided within it.
- “User” means a person who accesses the Service or uses its features, regardless of whether they have registered an account.
- “Tool” means a web feature that performs tasks such as working with documents, images, text, developer data, calculations, or conversions.
- “User Data” means the text, files, settings, and processing results that a user enters into or uploads to a tool.
- “External Services” means third-party services or websites used to operate the Service, such as Google, Cloudflare, and Kakao.
Article 3. Application and Changes to the Terms
- You should review these Terms before using the Service.
- Use of the Service is subject to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
- Utilook may change these Terms within a scope that does not violate applicable law.
- Changes that materially affect users’ rights or obligations will be announced through the site before they take effect.
- Changes that require separate consent under applicable law will follow the relevant procedures.
Article 4. Contents of the Service
Utilook may provide the following features:
- Web tools that run in the browser or on the server
- PDF, image, text, and data processing features
- Conversion, calculation, analysis, and developer features
- Tool search and category browsing
- Favorites and sharing features
- Guidance for inquiries, bug reports, and tool suggestions
- Advertising and external links
- Other related features that may be added

Article 5. Fees
- Unless otherwise indicated, the services currently provided are free.
- Free services may display advertising.
- If paid features are offered in the future, prices, payment terms, and refund criteria will be provided separately before payment.
- Costs for internet access, devices, and data communication are borne by the user.
Article 6. Account Registration
- The Service currently does not require account registration or login.
- If account features are added in the future, separate usage conditions and personal-information handling details will be provided.
- These Terms also apply to users who are not registered.
Article 7. Use of Tools and User Data
- Before using a tool, you should check the supported formats, size limits, processing method, and precautions.
- The lawful rights to, and responsibility for, the data you enter or upload rest with you.
- You must use only data that you are authorized to process.
- You should separately back up important original files before using a tool.
- Browser-based features may be affected by your device performance and browser environment.
- Features that require server processing are explained separately on the relevant tool page.
- Utilook does not provide permanent storage or backup services for User Data.
Article 8. Prohibited Conduct
You must not engage in the following:
- Conduct that violates law or public order
- Conduct that infringes others’ personal information, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, or other rights
- Processing data obtained unlawfully or data you are not authorized to use
- Use for malware, phishing, spam, hacking, or bypassing security
- Causing abnormal or excessive load on the Service or servers
- Circumventing access limits, rate limits, or security measures
- Exploiting vulnerabilities or accessing systems without authorization
- Fraudulently clicking ads or manipulating the advertising system
- Impersonating the Service or the operator
- Interfering with the stable operation of the Service or other users’ use
- Mass collecting, copying, or redistributing content or data in violation of copyright or the terms of use
- Sending excessive automated requests, or systematically copying core content to build a competing service
Article 9. Restrictions on Use
- Where prohibited conduct, security threats, or excessive requests are identified, Utilook may block access, apply rate limits, or restrict features.
- Where urgent security response or incident recovery is needed, some features may be suspended temporarily without prior notice.
- Measures are applied within a reasonable scope proportionate to the degree of violation and operational necessity.
Article 10. Changes and Suspension of the Service
- Utilook may add, change, or discontinue features due to service improvement, maintenance, security, technical issues, or operational needs.
- Planned changes that materially affect users will be announced in advance where possible.
- In the event of an urgent failure, security incident, natural disaster, communication failure, or external-service outage, the Service may be interrupted without prior notice.
- We do not guarantee that free features will be provided permanently or without interruption.
Article 11. Accuracy of Results and User Verification
- Utilook makes reasonable efforts to improve the stability and accuracy of the Service.
- Tool results may vary depending on the input, file format, browser, operating system, libraries, and network environment.
- You should review and verify results yourself before relying on them for important matters.
- Results of calculation, conversion, analysis, or generation do not replace professional legal, medical, tax, accounting, financial, or safety judgment.
- During file conversion, the format, layout, metadata, color, quality, or some information may change.
Article 12. Backup and Data Loss
- You should save and back up originals and results yourself.
- Work may be lost due to closing the browser, refreshing, network failures, device problems, external-service outages, or unsupported files.
- Absent Utilook’s intent or gross negligence, liability for damages arising from your failure to back up or from misuse may be limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Article 13. Intellectual Property
- Rights to Utilook’s name, design, UI, descriptions, self-produced content, and software belong to Utilook or the rightful owner.
- Open-source software and third-party materials are subject to their respective licenses and terms of use.
- Rights to data you enter remain with you or the original rights holder.
- Without prior permission, you must not:
- Systematically copy and redistribute the site or its core content
- Impersonate using the Utilook name or design
- Remove copyright or license notices
- Engage in mass collection or build a competing service in violation of the terms of use
- This is not interpreted as restricting fair use or citation permitted by law.
Article 14. Advertising and External Links
- The Service may display advertising such as Google AdSense.
- The content of ads and the products or services they promote are the responsibility of the relevant advertiser or provider.
- External websites and services are subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
- Utilook does not guarantee the products, quality, continuity, or transactional safety of external services.
- However, where liability is recognized for Utilook under applicable law, such liability is not excluded.
Article 15. Sharing Features
- The Service may provide sharing via KakaoTalk, X, Facebook, email, link copy, and the browser share feature.
- Running an external sharing service is subject to that provider’s terms and privacy policy.
- Default share information may include the page title, description, public URL, and a representative image.
- Unless a separate result-sharing feature is provided, your inputs, uploaded files, conversion results, and personal information are not included in the default share information.
- You should check the link and displayed information before sharing.
Article 16. Protection of Personal Information
Matters concerning the processing of personal information are governed by the separate Privacy Policy.
Article 17. Scope of Warranty
- Utilook makes reasonable efforts to provide the Service reliably.
- Given the nature of a free service, we do not guarantee that it will operate entirely without errors or without interruption in every browser, file, or environment.
- We do not guarantee fitness for a particular purpose, the completeness of all results, or absolute accuracy.
- This article does not limit rights or liabilities that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Article 18. Limitation of Liability
- Utilook’s liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
- Absent Utilook’s intent or gross negligence, liability for damages arising from the following may be limited:
- Your incorrect input or use
- Unsupported or corrupted files
- Your failure to back up
- Problems with your device or browser
- Communication failures, natural disasters, or external-service outages
- Unlawful acts or security attacks by third parties
- This limitation does not apply to Utilook’s intent or gross negligence, harm to life or body, or liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Article 19. User Responsibility
If you cause damage to Utilook or a third party by violating these Terms or applicable law, you may be responsible to the extent that a causal link with your intent or negligence is recognized.
Article 20. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
- These Terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- If a dispute arises, the parties will first try to resolve it through mutual consultation.
- Disputes not resolved through consultation are resolved before the court with jurisdiction under applicable law.
- Where mandatory local laws apply to overseas users, those laws may apply.
