Barcode Generator
Create linear barcodes for product codes and inventory labels directly in your browser.
Choose a barcode format
Use CODE 128 for general internal codes, or EAN and UPC for retail product identifiers. Choose the format in this one tool instead of using separate pages.
Identifiers and check digits
EAN-13, EAN-8, and UPC-A are numeric retail formats with check digits. The generator can calculate a missing final digit, but it cannot assign a legitimate product number; retail identifiers must come from the organization that manages them.
Design for reliable scanning
Keep the bars dark on a light background, preserve the blank quiet zone around the symbol, and avoid stretching the SVG unevenly. Scan a printed sample with the devices used in the real workflow before producing labels in bulk.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my barcode value uploaded?
No. Barcode generation and CSV or TXT parsing run in your browser. Values and files are not sent to or stored by Utilook.
What value should I use for EAN and UPC?
EAN-13 uses 12 or 13 digits, EAN-8 uses 7 or 8 digits, and UPC-A uses 11 or 12 digits. Use an officially assigned identifier for retail products.
Where can I use the downloaded file?
SVG is a vector format that stays sharp when enlarged in printed material and documents. Test the code in its real scanning environment before use.
Can I create several barcodes at once?
Yes. Use filename|barcode value in TXT, or put the filename in the first CSV column and the barcode value in the second; barcode-only input is also supported. After generating them, download all SVG files in one ZIP.
